Bishop Alexander Mileant was born in Odessa, Russia in 1938. He graduated from Holy Trinity Seminary at Jordanville, NY. in 1967. The same year, after ordination to the priesthood by Metropolitan Philaret (of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad), he was appointed rector of our parish.

He has a BS and MS degrees from the Cal State University LA and an Engineer's degree in Telecommunications from USC. Last years he worked for NASA, at Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

He was tonsured a Stavraphor Monk at Holy Trinity Monastery in 1995by Archbishop Hilarion (of Australia and New Zealand).

He spoke Russian, English, Spanish, and Greek. Most of his time he dedicated to the Holy Trinity Theological School on the Internet (www.holytrinitymission.org) and the publishing of missionary booklets in several languages.
